Corporate Policy

By engaging or using Baird Technology Group, Inc. (BTGI) services you agree to comply with all terms, policies and conditions. BTGI reserves the right to terminate services to any customer or group without cause and at the sole discretion of BTGI management. If BTGI personnel become aware of unlawful or inappropriate activity while working on BTGI owned or client owned equipment BTGI will report our observations to the appropriate Law Enforcement Agencies and turn over the appropriate documentation and logs. To assist in the identification of violations BTGI constantly monitors and logs the appropriate information on BTGI and client owned equipment.

Note: All references to laws and regulations in all BTGI documentation specifically refer to the laws and regulations of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Detailed Client information is confidential

Disclosure of detailed client information to a third party is cleared with the client in advance, except when required by Federal, State, local law or regulation. This applies to all customer information that is submitted, gathered, tracked or otherwise obtained in the course of any business with us. We do try to prevent third party persons from gaining unauthorized access, however hackers do break into highly secured government and private sector systems. We will use our technical skills to minimize the risk.

BTGI may at the sole discretion of BTGI management in general terms present information about work performed, the duration of the work and the technologies used in solicitation of new work or in general advertising. Financial details and specific information about the work performed that is known to compromise your business interest or security is released only with your approval or as required by law.

We consider the following information covered by our privacy policy:

  • Individual Names
  • Organizational Charts
  • Mailing and e-mail addresses
  • Non-published Telephone and Fax numbers
  • Credit information
    (Bad credit information is report to the Credit Bureau)
  • Credit and/or debit card numbers
  • Bank account numbers
  • Other personal banking information
  • Correspondence of a personal or confidential nature
  • Non-public historical information

We do cooperate with properly identified law enforcement personnel when they present the proper legal documentation.

Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy specifies certain actions prohibited by BTGI for users of our services. BTGI reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time without public notice. We will change our policy to stay in compliance with any laws, regulations and security requirements. By using BTGI services, any customer, employee or third party unconditionally accepts the terms of this policy.

Illegal Activity

The BTGI services may be used only for lawful purposes. Transmission, distribution or storage of any material in violation of any applicable law or regulation coming to or from any authorized or unauthorized network or system is prohibited. This includes, without limitation, material protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret or other intellectual property rights used without proper authorization, government and military data protected by law and national security, university and academic data protected by public policy; and material that is obscene, defamatory, constitutes an illegal threat, or violates export control laws. Any violation that compromises the integrity of BTGI systems, or personnel is strictly prohibited.

System and Network Security

Violations of system or network security are prohibited, and may result in criminal and civil liability. BTGI will investigate incidents involving such violations and may involve and cooperate with law enforcement authorities.

Examples of unlawful acts, system, or network security violations include, without limitation, the following:

Unauthorized access to or use of data, systems or networks, including any attempt to probe, damage, scan or test the vulnerability of a system or network or to breach security or authentication measures without express authorization of the owner of the system or network. Unauthorized monitoring of data or traffic on any network or system without express authorization of the owner of the system or network. Interference with service to any user, host or network including, without limitation, mail bombing, flooding, deliberate attempts to overload a system and broadcast attacks.

Unauthorized access to any data, system, or network from an unauthorized system or network for any purpose which is not lawful or which is intended to do harm. The intentional distribution of computer viruses, worms, mail bombs, etc. Forging of any TCP/IP packet header or any part of the header information in an email or a news group posting. Electronic forging of any kind to include but not limited to IP addresses, domains, business names, etc.

Electronic Mail

Sending unsolicited mail messages, including, without limitation, commercial advertising and informational announcements, is explicitly prohibited. A user shall not use another site's mail server or mail account to relay mail without the express permission of the site owner. Posting the same or similar message to one or more news groups (excessive cross posting or multiple posting, also known as "SPAM" is expressly prohibited. For example:

If you are hosting a bulk e-mail site on BTGI servers and you use another ISP from which to SPAM and reference your BTGI site by IP address or domain name, you are violating BTGI policy and possibly the law. If you have been granted telnet access to BTGI servers, multiple telnet, FTP, or Terminal Service logons are strictly prohibited. All traffic must come from a valid IP address. Forgery of a logon is against the law. Any type of denial of service attack from valid or invalid addresses is a violation of BTGI security policy and against the law. Sharing your telnet, FTP, or Terminal Service password with an unauthorized user or third party is strictly prohibited.

Adult Material and Promoting of Violent Behavior

BTGI will not tolerate any adult material or promoting of violent behavior as defined in the sole opinion of our management. Both infringements shall result in immediate termination the client and removal of the BTGI personnel from the work site, removal of client owned equipment from BTGI premises or removal of web site. BTGI will not refund any balances due the client; and all bills are immediately due and payable. BTGI prides itself as a responsible member of the technology community and is committed to protecting the data of and providing quality service to all BTGI customers

Interaction with BTGI Staff

Any threat, vulgar language or harassment directed at any BTGI staff members through phone, e-mail or any other form of communication may result in immediate termination of an account.
